Estimation Engineer (Metal)

• Analyze project blueprints, specifications, and tender documents to accurately define scope and identify potential challenges in metal fabrication projects.
• Calculate material quantities, labor hours, and equipment needs for complex metal structures, ensuring cost-effectiveness and project feasibility.
• Develop detailed cost breakdowns, including direct and indirect costs, overheads, and profit margins, to formulate competitive bids.
• Source and obtain quotations from suppliers and subcontractors for materials, specialized fabrication, and services, negotiating favorable terms.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Metallurgy, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience specifically in estimating for metal fabrication, structural steel, or heavy industrial projects.
• Proven proficiency in reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings, P&IDs, and technical specifications for metal components.
• Demonstrated expertise in using estimation software (e.g., Navisworks, CostX, Excel advanced functions) for metalwork quantities and pricing.
