ESTIMATION ENGINEER / QUANTITY SURVEYOR / Cost ESTIMATOR

Key Responsibilities

• Sub-Contractor & Vendor Engagement: Proactively reach out to local sub-contractors, suppliers, and vendors to gather prices, negotiate sub-rates, evaluate quotations, and optimize project costs.
• BOQ & Material Take-Offs: Analyze tender documents, scope drawings, standard BOQs, and specifications across fit-out, joinery, steel, glass, and MEP scope items.
• Quotation Development: Prepare comprehensive, itemized cost estimates, commercial bids, and quotation packages for main contractors, project consultants, and clients.
• Value Engineering: Work alongside project and commercial teams to propose alternative materials, methods, or cost-saving solutions without lowering design standards.
• Market Database Maintenance: Maintain and continually update an internal database of local material costs, sub-contractor details, labor rates, and historic pricing trends.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Experience: Minimum 2 to 3 years of hands-on cost estimation experience within the UAE construction and fit-out contracting market.
• Market Knowledge: Strong existing network and familiarity with Dubai-based sub-contractors, material suppliers, current unit pricing, and trade practices.
• Technical Proficiency: High level of skill in MS Excel (costing models & formulas), AutoCAD, and standard BOQ measurement techniques.
• Location & Joining: Must be currently residing in the UAE and available for immediate joining.
• Languages: Fluent English is essential; command of Hindi, Malayalam, Urdu, or Arabic is an added advantage for local market communication.
