Estimation Engineer / Tender Executive (Interior Design Projects)

Summary of Position:
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Estimation Engineer / Tender Executive to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing cost estimates, BOQs, tender documents, and pricing proposals for interior design and fit-out projects. The role requires close coordination with design teams, vendors, and project managers to ensure competitive and accurate costings.

Key Responsibilities:
Prepare detailed cost estimates, BOQs, and rate analysis for interior projects (commercial, corporate, residential, retail).

Study drawings, specifications, and tender documents to assess the scope of work.

Obtain and compare vendor/subcontractor quotations for pricing accuracy.

Draft and submit technical & commercial bids as per client requirements.

Work closely with design and project teams for material selection and quantity take-offs.

Coordinate with suppliers for updated material rates and negotiate for best pricing.

Maintain records of tenders submitted, pricing history, and awarded projects.

Assist in value engineering to optimize project costs.

Track and follow up on tender submissions and assist in negotiations as required.

Requirements:
Diploma/Degree in Civil Engineering / Interior Design / Quantity Surveying or a related field.

Years of relevant experience in estimation/tendering for interior design or fit-out projects.

Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and quantity surveying software.

Strong understanding of interior finishes, materials, and execution processes.

Excellent numerical, analytical, and negotiation skills.

Ability to work independently and handle multiple tenders simultaneously.

Preferred Skills:
Prior experience in corporate office interiors, retail fit-outs.

Knowledge of local market rates, taxation (GST), and regulatory compliances.

Experience working with architects, PMCs, and large corporate clients.

Preferred Skills:
Salary : As per industry standards / Negotiable
