About Bodnant Joinery

Bodnant Joinery Ltd is an established bespoke joinery company based in Colwyn Bay, North Wales. We manufacture high-quality timber windows, doors, staircases, gates, fitted furniture and restoration joinery for residential and commercial clients.

We are looking for an experienced Joinery Estimator / Quotation Specialist to join our team on a part-time basis.

This role would suit someone with a good understanding of joinery manufacturing and estimating who can confidently prepare accurate quotations and work with our production team to ensure projects are correctly priced.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing quotations for bespoke joinery projects using JoinerySoft, ensuring that materials, labour, manufacturing requirements and other associated costs are accurately considered.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Preparing accurate quotations for bespoke joinery projects.
• Using JoinerySoft to produce estimates and quotations.
• Reviewing customer enquiries, drawings and specifications.
• Assessing materials, labour and manufacturing requirements.
• Liaising with suppliers to obtain material and component costs where required.
• Reviewing drawings and identifying potential issues or missing information before pricing.
• Working closely with the workshop and management team to ensure quotations are realistic and achievable.
• Updating and revising quotations where specifications or requirements change.
• Maintaining accurate records of quotations and enquiries.
• Following up quotations when appropriate.
• Supporting the sales and administration process as required.

About You

We are looking for someone who understands the practical requirements of joinery and can translate drawings and specifications into accurate quotations.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience in joinery estimating, quotation or pricing.
• Good working knowledge of JoinerySoft.
• Experience within a joinery manufacturing environment.
• Good understanding of timber, joinery materials and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
• Good organisational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple quotations.
• Good communication skills and a professional approach.
• Confidence identifying potential problems or additional costs before a quotation is issued.

Experience with bespoke windows, doors, staircases, fitted furniture or restoration joinery would be particularly advantageous.
