Estimator

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Estimator to prepare accurate cost estimates, quotations, and proposals for projects. The Estimator will review project plans, specifications, drawings, and other documentation to determine material, labor, equipment, and other project costs while ensuring estimates are competitive and aligned with project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Review drawings, plans, specifications, scope of work, and project requirements.
• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, subcontractors, and other project expenses.
• Perform quantity take-offs and measurements from technical drawings and plans.
• Request and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Prepare bills of quantities, cost breakdowns, estimates, and project quotations.
• Analyze project requirements and identify potential cost risks, discrepancies, and missing information.
• Coordinate with engineers, architects, CAD operators, project managers, suppliers, and subcontractors as required.
• Compare estimated costs against budgets, previous projects, and market prices.
• Update estimates based on revisions, changes in scope, and updated project information.
• Maintain accurate records of estimates, quotations, material prices, and supporting documentation.
• Assist in preparing tender and bid submissions within required deadlines.
• Review project drawings and specifications for inconsistencies that may affect cost.
• Support the project team during negotiations, procurement, and cost-related discussions.
• Perform other estimation and related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Diploma, certificate, or degree in Engineering, Construction, Architecture, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
• Proven experience as an Estimator, Quantity Surveyor, Cost Estimator, or similar role.
• Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings, plans, and specifications.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other estimating or project management software.
• Experience with CAD drawings or CAD software is an advantage.
• Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet strict deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with project teams.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in construction, engineering, fabrication, manufacturing, or related industries.
• Knowledge of material costs, labor rates, and construction processes.
• Experience performing detailed quantity take-offs.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Bluebeam, PlanSwift, CostX, or other estimating software.
• Understanding of project costing, procurement, and tendering processes.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including formulas and spreadsheets.

Pay: Php18,000.00 - Php20,000.00 per month
