If you are the next member of our team, you have run jobs, owned a business, or estimated new homes and remodels, and you are ready to bring that field knowledge into a professional office role.

Responsibilities

• The Estimator is responsible for delivering timely, detailed, and accurate bids for every project. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can learn and follow our estimating process from first ballpark to signed agreement and project handover. Specifically, this will include:

• Reviewing plans and project briefs, then preparing ballpark budgets and budget letters

• Writing detailed bid specifications and scopes of work for each trade

• Coordinating and leading trade partner open houses with clients and Project Managers

• Reviewing trade partner bids for accuracy and building complete, fixed-cost pricing

• Writing client agreements, pricing options, and attending agreement meetings

• Preparing purchase orders, job binders, and handover information for the Project Manager

• Supporting new home tasks such as selections binders, finish schedules, Green Built Home certification, and permitting

• Tracking estimate accuracy against actual job results and improving the process

• Building relationships with vendors and trade partners, and researching new products and methods

• Developing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures for the estimating phase

• Salary range of $80,000 to $90,000, depending on experience
• Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Primary Requirements

• Experience as a Project Manager, Owner, or Estimator for new homes and residential remodeling projects
• Strong computer skills, including Excel, Outlook, Word, shared Google Calendar, and Dropbox
• Ability to write clear, professional emails and documents
• Highly organized, accurate, and comfortable following a detailed, step-by-step process
• Punctual, dependable, and professional in appearance (business casual dress code)
• Live within 30 minutes of our Waunakee office (no more than 45 minutes)
• Valid driver’s license
• Outstanding personal and professional references
• Experience as a Project Manager, Owner, or Estimator for new homes and residential remodeling projects
• Strong computer skills, including Excel, Outlook, Word, shared Google Calendar, and Dropbox
• Ability to write clear, professional emails and documents
• Highly organized, accurate, and comfortable following a detailed, step-by-step process
