The company

A highly respected residential builder renowned for delivering custom homes and premium renovation projects. Their reputation is built on exceptional craftsmanship, meticulous attention to detail, and an unwavering commitment to quality. As the business continues to grow, they're looking for an experienced Estimator to join the high-performing team on either a Full or Part time basis (3-4 days per week)

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the successful delivery of residential projects from pre-construction through to completion. You'll be responsible for preparing accurate feasibilities and cost estimates for, providing estimation support through design, pre-construction and then into construction. All whilst working closely with the directors, project managers, site supervisors and design team.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing feasibilities, cost plans and detailed estimates from concept through to tender and contract
• Completing quantity take-offs and building up rates using current market pricing and historical data
• Reviewing architectural and consultant documentation to identify scope gaps, risks and savings opportunities early
• Leading value engineering with designers and clients without compromising design intent
• Preparing and issuing tender packages, and building strong relationships with quality trades and suppliers
• Supporting the build team with variation pricing, cost tracking and commercial queries
• Improving estimating systems, cost databases and benchmarks, and feeding lessons from completed projects into future estimates

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Previous experience as an Estimator, or Contracts Administrator within residential construction.

• Sound experience working on Project or Custom Homes

• Collaborative team player

• Proficiency in estimating or construction management software.
