Our client is a Queensland Government organisation responsible for delivering construction, maintenance and building services across the state. With a strong focus on quality, value and customer service, they support the delivery of essential government infrastructure and facilities throughout Queensland.

The Opportunity

An opportunity is available for an experienced Estimator to join the team in Townsville for a 6-month Temp Contract.

In this role, you will be responsible for producing high-quality tender and quotation documentation for building projects, ensuring work meets industry best practice, departmental standards and client requirements.

You will prepare accurate and timely estimates, quotations and project trade packages, including material lists and construction programs. Using estimating software and established processes, you will contribute to the consistent and effective preparation of client quotations.

The role will also involve assisting with estimating, costing, contract administration and contract cost management practices, while working closely with clients, suppliers and subcontractors to support service delivery, achieve cost efficiencies and meet client requirements.

About You

You are an experienced estimator with a strong understanding of building projects and the ability to produce accurate, high-quality work within required timeframes.

To be successful, you will have:

• Previous experience in construction estimating
• Strong understanding of building costs, materials and project requirements
• Experience preparing tenders, quotations and project trade packages
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to research and analyse information and apply sound judgement
• Strong stakeholder skills with the ability to work effectively with clients, suppliers and subcontractors

A current Driver Licence is mandatory for this position.
