Estimator

Position Overview:

We are looking for highly skilled and motivated estimators to join our team. The ideal candidates will be responsible for preparing complete estimates for the assigned project, conducting site assessments, and ensuring the successful implementation of projects from concept to completion. This role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and should now to prepare the tenders requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate cost estimates for construction projects based on drawings, specifications, and other relevant information.
• Analyze project plans and determine the most efficient and cost-effective methods of construction.
• Review and evaluate subcontractor’s and supplier’s quotations to ensure competitiveness and accuracy.
• Develop and maintain a database of material costs, labor rates, and other cost factors to enhance estimation accuracy.
• Conduct cost analysis and value engineering approach to identify cost-saving opportunities and make recommendations to improve project profitability.
• Prepare comprehensive and detailed estimates, including labor, materials, equipment, and other project costs.
• Monitor and track project costs throughout the project life cycle, identifying any deviations from the original estimate and making necessary adjustments.
• Keep up-to-date with industry trends and changes in materials, labor rates, and construction methods to ensure accurate and competitive estimations.
• Review tender and contract documents and raise RFI’s as required.
• Prepare commercial and assist in the preparation of the technical response schedule required for the tender submission.
• Tender presentation to senior management covering the risk analysis.
• Reading and understanding all relevant drawings relating to their area of work and assessing/advising on build-ability and product selection.

• Preparing cost plans.
• Receiving tender documents from the developers/client/consultant and studying the nature of the projects.
• Quantity take-off using Plan Swift & Auto-cad.
• Preparing tender queries in case more clarifications or more information are needed.
• Creating RFQ packages, sending & following up on inquiries in order to get the current market prices & quotations.
• Once receiving the quotations, preparing rate analysis & comparison in-order to get the best price from the market. Further to have meetings for more discounts and negotiations.
• Pricing the BOQ and presenting to management for approval prior to the final tender submissions.
• Compiling the tender documents for final submissions.
• Work closely with project managers, site engineers, and other stakeholders to gather information and provide support .

Qualifications & experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering .
• UAE experience
• Minimum of 10 years of experience
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret technical data,
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, clients, and stakeholders.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex construction plans and specifications.
• Self-motivated and adaptable with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Can join immediately is an advantage.
