Estimator

Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Estimator to join our construction team, bringing expertise in commercial construction project estimation. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately assessing project costs, preparing detailed bids, and collaborating closely with clients, project managers, and subcontractors to ensure competitive and precise estimates. Your proactive approach and strong understanding of construction processes will drive successful project planning and cost control from inception through completion. Duties

• Review and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to determine project scope and requirements
• Utilize estimating software such as Signwise to develop accurate cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor services
• Prepare detailed bid proposals by analyzing material costs, labor hours, and project timelines
• Manage and update spreadsheets to track project budgets, cost estimates, and pricing data effectively
• Communicate clearly with suppliers, and internal teams to ensure alignment on project scope and budget expectations

Experience

• Proven experience managing projects as a construction estimator within the commercial construction industry
• Strong proficiency in estimating software such as HeavyBid, Bluebeam, Xactimate, or similar tools
• Extensive knowledge of blueprint reading, technical drawing interpretation, and estimating material requirements from blueprints
• Demonstrated ability in cost management, material cost estimating, and pricing strategies for large-scale projects
• Hands-on experience with construction site activities and understanding of construction management processes
• Excellent negotiation skills paired with effective client communication abilities
• Familiarity with contracts, scope of work review, and managing budgets across multiple projects
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel spreadsheets for detailed data analysis and reporting
• Construction industry experience emphasizing estimation for commercial projects with a focus on cost control and accuracy

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
