Job Overview

Lions Construction is a growing, family-owned construction and demolition company seeking an experienced Construction Estimator to join our team.

We are looking for a detail-oriented and dependable professional with at least 1 year of construction estimating experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction and demolition projects and be able to accurately evaluate project requirements, calculate costs, and prepare competitive bids.

The Construction Estimator will work closely with the company owner and project coordinator to review projects, develop accurate estimates, communicate with vendors and subcontractors, and prepare professional proposals for clients.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate estimates for demolition and construction projects
• Review project plans, drawings, specifications, and scopes of work
• Evaluate labor, materials, equipment, subcontractor, and disposal costs
• Conduct site visits to assess project conditions when needed
• Obtain and compare pricing from suppliers and subcontractors
• Calculate project costs and profit margins
• Prepare and submit professional bids and proposals
• Identify potential project risks and additional costs
• Communicate with vendors, subcontractors, customers, and the project team
• Maintain organized records of estimates, pricing, and project documents
• Work with the owner and project coordinator to finalize bids
• Meet deadlines for completing and submitting estimates

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of construction estimating experience required
• Experience with demolition estimating is a plus
• Knowledge of construction materials, labor, equipment, and project costs
• Ability to read and understand construction plans and scopes of work
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Experience with estimating software is a plus
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred

Pay: $22.00 - $45.00 per hour
