You will be responsible for reviewing project requirements, developing labour and equipment estimates, assessing costs and risks, and ensuring estimates accurately reflect the scope and anticipated requirements of the work. You will also support project cost controls, commercial considerations, and post-project reviews to help drive accurate pricing and strong project performance. If you are an analytical, detail-oriented professional with experience in estimating, project coordination, or industrial services, we encourage you to Apply Now!

What You Will Do

  • Review client requests, scopes of work, specifications, schedules, and other project documentation to develop accurate and competitive estimates.
  • Develop labour, equipment, travel, accommodation, subcontractor, and other project cost estimates based on anticipated scope and execution requirements.
  • Work closely with Operations, Business Development, and Project Leadership to understand project requirements, resource needs, scheduling considerations, and execution strategies.
  • Identify project assumptions, exclusions, risks, and other factors that may impact project costs, pricing, or execution.
  • Prepare and submit estimates, quotations, and proposals in accordance with client requirements and established WQS processes.
  • Support project cost controls by monitoring budgets, actual costs, forecasts, productivity, and variances, while identifying opportunities and potential risks.
  • Support change orders, scope changes, pricing revisions, and other commercial requirements throughout project execution.
  • Participate in project handoffs and post-project reviews to ensure estimating assumptions and lessons learned are captured and communicated.
  • Maintain accurate estimating records, historical pricing, rate sheets, templates, and other tools used to support future estimating and project planning.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to obtain information and clarify project requirements.

What You Will Bring

  • 3–5 years of experience in estimating, project coordination, operations, or a related role, preferably within NDT, industrial services, oil and gas, or technical services.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience preparing estimates, quotations, bids, or proposals for industrial or technical services.
  • Strong understanding of project costs, labour and equipment requirements, and resource planning.
  • Ability to interpret project scopes, specifications, schedules, drawings, and other technical documentation.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple estimates, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and other estimating or project management software.
  • Working knowledge of NDT methods, technician qualifications, equipment, and industry practices is considered an asset.
  • Post-secondary education in business, estimating, project management, engineering technology, or a related field is considered an asset.

What WQS Will Do For You

  • Provide a competitive compensation package and comprehensive employee benefits package.
  • Employer-funded training and a commitment to professional development opportunities.
