Drywall Estimator | New Jersey

I am working with a client who is looking to higher an experience Drywall Estimator in the New Jersey area.

The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates for commercial drywall and metal stud projects, from initial plan review through bid submission.

Responsibilities:

• Review project plans, specifications, and bid documents
• Perform detailed material and labor takeoffs
• Prepare accurate estimates and competitive bids
• Obtain and evaluate material and subcontractor pricing
• Analyze project scope, specifications, and potential risks
• Coordinate with project managers, vendors, and customers as needed
• Track multiple bids and meet project deadlines
• Assist with estimating-to-operations handoff after project award

Ideal Candidate:

• 3+ years of experience in commercial drywall estimating
• Strong experience with metal stud and drywall construction
• Knowledge of commercial interior construction and building practices
• Strong understanding of labor, material, production, and project costs
• Able to read and interpret blueprints and construction specifications
• Experience with takeoff and estimating software
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple projects
