Senior Estimator – Skid-Mounted & Packaged Equipment

An established manufacturer of custom engineered equipment is hiring a Senior Estimator to support projects across data center infrastructure, water treatment, and industrial processing.

This is a hands-on technical estimating role with direct access to engineering and manufacturing teams. You’ll help determine how equipment should be built, what it will cost, and how to deliver a competitive proposal.

What you’ll work on:

• Develop estimates for skid-mounted cooling systems, heat exchanger packages, water filtration/treatment systems, and related process equipment.
• Review RFQs, equipment specifications, P&IDs, and fabrication drawings to establish scope and identify missing information.
• Build detailed costs covering equipment, materials, piping, fabrication labor, instrumentation, and controls.
• Work with Sales, Engineering, and Production to confirm build requirements, evaluate alternatives, and resolve technical questions.
• Prepare bid packages, document assumptions and exclusions, and maintain current component pricing and estimating data.

What we’re looking for:

• 5+ years of estimating experience in engineered equipment, packaged systems, fabrication, or relevant industrial construction.
• Direct estimating exposure to cooling systems, heat exchangers, water filtration/treatment equipment, or closely related fluid-handling packages. Experience with skid-mounted systems is particularly relevant.
• Ability to estimate the equipment and components within a package, including piping, valves, pumps, instrumentation, and controls.
• Confidence reading P&IDs, mechanical drawings, and customer specifications.
• Working knowledge of pressure vessels, ASME requirements, piping codes, and fabrication methods.
• Strong Excel skills; experience with ERP costing, BOMs, or estimating software is helpful.
• A relevant degree is preferred; substantial applicable experience will be considered.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
