A&K Painting Company is hiring an Estimator in Charlotte, NC. The role calls for 2 or more years of estimating experience in the construction industry, turning blueprints, specs, and site visits into accurate project costs that win the job. You will be the numbers person who makes sure every job is priced right from day one.

• You work well on your own, juggle multiple projects at once, and solve problems before they slow a job down.
• You bring proficiency in On Screen Takeoff and Microsoft Office, plus an associate’s degree in architectural drafting and estimating, a bachelor’s degree in construction management or engineering, or equivalent hands on experience.

What You Will Do Each Day:

• Review blueprints, specs, site plans, and requests for quotes to gather what each job needs.
• Build project estimates that account for materials, labor, equipment, schedule, and subcontractor costs.
• Request quotes from subcontractors and suppliers to firm up your numbers.
• Prepare bid documents and support leadership in pricing decisions.
• Update cost estimates when change orders come in, working with the project team.
• Compare completed project costs to your original estimates and track cost trends.
