About Us

A passion for the environment. It's in our nature.

At Five Rivers, protecting and restoring the natural world isn't a sideline to our work — it's the reason we exist. For over 25 years, we've been a leading environmental management and environmental consultant, working across every stage of a project's life: from monitoring and survey, design and consultancy, habitat creation, ecological mitigation and on-the-ground civil engineering delivery. Our cradle-to-grave approach means we don't just design solutions - we see them through from first site visit to long-term aftercare. Our work spans river restoration, wetland creation, biodiversity net gain, natural flood management and species protection alongside the civil engineering expertise needed to bring nature-based solutions to life. Whether it's reconnecting a degraded river channel, creating new habitat for wildlife or engineering flood resilience for a community, every project is a chance to leave nature better than we found it.

We're growing, and we're looking for people who want their work to genuinely count for something.

The Role

We're looking for a motivated, detail-driven Estimator who wants to build a career supporting genuine nature protection and restoration work. You'll join our Bids and Business Development Team, working closely with Project Managers, Engineers, and Technical Leads to cost and shape proposals across our full cradle-to-grave service from ecological survey and design through to habitat creation and civil engineering delivery.

This isn't just about crunching numbers it's about helping to win the work that lets us do more good for habitats and the wildlife that depends on them. Every accurate estimate and well-crafted bid is a step toward another wetland restored, another species protected, another stretch of river brought back to life.

This is a great opportunity to develop your estimating career whilst being part of a team that puts nature protection at the heart of everything it does.

What You'll Be Doing

• Reviewing technical drawings, specifications and site requirements to build robust, compelling tenders
