Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Estimator to join our construction team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for accurately assessing project costs, preparing comprehensive bids, and collaborating closely with clients, suppliers, and project teams to ensure successful project execution. Your expertise will help drive profitable projects and maintain our reputation for excellence in the commercial construction industry. Responsibilities

• Review and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to determine project scope and requirements.
• Develop detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor services using estimating software such as Bluebeam.
• Manage and update project budgets throughout the bidding process, ensuring accurate cost control and risk assessment.
• Prepare comprehensive bid proposals by pricing materials, labor, and subcontractor quotes, and use spreadsheets and software to organize data effectively.
• Collaborate with clients, vendors, and subcontractors through negotiation to secure competitive pricing while maintaining quality standards.
• Analyze project plans and specifications to identify potential cost-saving opportunities and material requirements from blueprints.
• Review construction contracts and ensure all estimates align with contractual obligations and project timelines.
• Maintain detailed records of all estimating activities, including bid submissions, correspondence, and time spent.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Google Sheets, Google Drive, and the entire suite of Google applications.
• Previous experience in a similar role or background in fabrication is preferred.
• Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
