Estimator

RemacUSA, Inc.- seeks an experienced in-Project Estimator who will also provide Project Management support to work closely with the President, estimating and performing wide array of projects ranging from:

1. Demolition – interior, whole buildings, selective with retaining structure, etc.

2. Supporting construction efforts

3. Environmental

4. Lead & asbestos abatement

5. General site restoration

6. Stream & earth restoration

The primary focus of this position is to estimate demolition projects.

In addition to estimating, it is desirable that our candidate be skilled in the following areas:

1. Interfacing with new and established suppliers, vendors & sub-contractors

2. Completing bid packets, bid delivery/opening

3. Knowledge of MBE participation and implementing MBE requirements into the bid packet

4. Interfacing and navigating opportunities to bid government jobs as well development, GC’s, etc.

5. Skilled and proficient of Microsoft Applications (Office Suits – Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.)

6. Utilizing our estimating software

7. Preparing reports of all kinds for both in-house purposes and for clients, etc.

8. Participating in job P&L analysis, including mid-performance and the final job P&L

9. Participating in change order negotiations

10. A deep and genuine consideration and involvement in administrative organization

Note: It is highly desirable that the estimator hired has significant actual field experience and has not just sat in an office the very large majority of the time!

· Job site visits expected that are underway or that have estimated by you

· Attend pre-bid meetings

· Must live NO MORE than 45 minutes from Potomac, Maryland

· In office attendance required when it is safe to do so (Covid-19)

Licenses in asbestos abatement, VA Contractor’s license, etc. – is a strong plus.

This is a high-level position with a considerable amount of responsibility.

• Assist in estimating job cost budget and turnover or transition meetings.
• This is a full time in the office and on the job site position.

Skills

• Proficient in construction estimating techniques and methodologies.
• Strong understanding of cost control principles within the construction industry.
• Experience with project management and construction management practices.
• Ability to build effective relationships with clients, vendors, and team members.
• Excellent negotiation skills for contract discussions.
• Familiarity with tools such as BuildingConnected and HeavyBid is preferred.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in calculations and reporting.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,500.00 - $105,000.00 per year
