Background in Steelwork, Structural Steel or Metalwork Estimating Essential

Responsibilities:

• Receive and analyse, tenders, clients job specifications and drawings to determine the scope of work and communicate efficiently with the client to identify requirements

• Confirm technical competencies are available to comply with the requirements of UKCA Marking Regulations, up to Class 3 Execution and assess the commercial viability of tenders/projects

• Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for projects

• Follow up tenders submitted

• Collaborate with project managers, draftsmen and engineers to gather necessary information for estimating

• Review and evaluate subcontractor bids and proposals

• Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and conditions

• Maintain accurate records of estimates, bids, and project documentation

• Price Project Variations

• Manager Customer Relationships and develop key accounts

• Develop new business leads
