Estimator

Help shape major civil and infrastructure projects across New Zealand.

TDG Environmental is looking for an experienced Estimator to join our Business Development team. Working across civil infrastructure, pipelines and environmental services projects, you'll develop competitive pricing and commercial submissions that drive business growth.

This role suits an experienced estimator, quantity surveyor or project engineer looking to apply their operational expertise in a commercially focused position.

About the Role

Reporting to the Group Development Manager, you will:

• Prepare detailed first-principles estimates and pricing models
• Review scopes, specifications and contract documentation
• Develop project work breakdown structures and resource plans
• Analyse commercial risks, margins and pricing opportunities
• Prepare tender pricing and commercial submissions
• Maintain estimating tools, databases and rate schedules
• Drive continuous improvement in estimating practices

About You

You'll bring:

• 5+ years' experience in estimating, quantity surveying, project engineering or a similar role
• Experience within civil construction, infrastructure, utilities or related industries
• Strong commercial and analytical capability
• Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with data
• Ability to interpret technical documentation and contracts
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills

Relevant tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a similar discipline are highly regarded.
