The ideal person for this role...
is precise, detail-oriented, and comfortable digging into technical prints and cost data until the numbers are right. They think in terms of accuracy and consistency — double-checking materials, vendors, and processes before a quote ever goes out the door. They're also natural collaborators, comfortable working with Sales, Purchasing, Engineering, and Management to get a quote across the finish line.

Job Responsibilities

• Review customer prints and project requirements to confirm manufacturability and scope before quoting
• Determine materials, vendors, and outside services needed to build accurate, competitive quotes
• Collaborate with Process Engineering on complex or non-standard jobs
• Analyze and report on repeat job performance to continuously refine estimating accuracy

Job Requirements

• Proven experience reading and interpreting technical prints and manufacturing specifications
• Proven proficiency with quoting/ERP systems (shop management software)
• Solid working knowledge of Excel
• Proven ability to evaluate materials, vendors, and manufacturing processes for accurate costing
• Proven analytical skills for reviewing job performance data and refining estimates
• Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills; able to collaborate across Sales, Purchasing, Engineering, and Management
