  • Coordinate material sourcing, pricing, purchasing, and procurement activities to support project schedules.
  • Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations to ensure competitive pricing and appropriate specifications.
  • Collaborate with project managers, field and shop supervisors to validate estimates and establish realistic execution plans.
  • Support project cost tracking, change orders, forecasting, and budget management.
  • Maintain accurate estimating records, supplier pricing information, and project documentation.
  • Participate in project handovers and provide technical and estimating support throughout project execution.
  • Identify opportunities to improve estimating accuracy, planning processes, and operational efficiencies.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in industrial construction estimating, project planning, or a combination of both.
  • Demonstrated experience conducting site walks and evaluating project requirements.
  • Strong understanding of material takeoffs, labour estimating, project costing, and purchasing processes.
  • Experience interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Knowledge of industrial construction, fabrication, mechanical systems, or related disciplines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with estimating, scheduling, and project management software.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple estimates and competing deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with engineering, operations, and field personnel.
