Estimator (Entry-Level)

Carolina Civilworks Inc. is growing, and we are looking for a motivated Entry-Level Construction Estimator to join our team in Durham, NC.

We specialize in water and sewer utility construction and are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, motivated, and interested in building a career in civil construction estimating.

MINIMAL ESTIMATING EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Responsibilities

• Review construction plans, specifications, and bid documents
• Perform quantity takeoffs and assist with cost estimates
• Prepare competitive bids and proposals
• Obtain and organize material, subcontractor, and vendor pricing
• Assist with project scope and cost analysis
• Work closely with project managers and field personnel
• Learn the estimating process for water, sewer, and underground utility projects

Requirements

• Minimal estimating experience required
• Construction, engineering, or related education/experience preferred
• Interest in civil construction and utility work
• Ability to read and understand construction plans or willingness to learn
• Strong math, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong communication and computer skills
• Microsoft Office experience preferred
• Familiarity with Autodesk/AutoCAD, Primavera, or Bluebeam is a plus
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
