We are seeking a detail-oriented and commercially focused Estimator – Interior Fit-Out to join our team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in preparing cost estimates, quantity take-offs, and competitive tender submissions for interior fit-out and construction projects.

Job Overview

The Estimator will be responsible for reviewing tender documents, analyzing drawings and specifications, calculating quantities, obtaining supplier quotations, and preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates. The role requires close coordination with the design, procurement, project management, and commercial teams to ensure tender submissions meet project requirements and company profitability targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Review architectural drawings, BOQs, tender documents, specifications, and project requirements.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates and quantity take-offs for interior fit-out projects.
• Calculate material, labour, equipment, subcontractor, and installation costs.
• Estimate costs for civil works, partitions, ceilings, flooring, joinery, doors, wall finishes, painting, and other fit-out elements.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Prepare rate analysis, cost comparisons, and detailed BOQs.
• Coordinate with the design and technical teams to clarify drawings, specifications, and scope discrepancies.
• Identify scope gaps, exclusions, risks, and potential cost variations during tender evaluation.
• Prepare tender submissions, commercial proposals, and supporting cost documentation within deadlines.
• Liaise with procurement to verify material pricing, availability, and delivery lead times.
• Coordinate with project teams during project handover to ensure alignment between estimated and actual costs.
• Maintain a database of supplier rates, material costs, and historical project estimates.
• Identify value-engineering opportunities and cost-saving alternatives without compromising quality or specifications.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Relevant experience as an Estimator within the interior fit-out or construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of fit-out materials, construction methods, specifications, and pricing.
• Proven experience in quantity take-offs, BOQ preparation, rate analysis, and tender costing.
• Ability to interpret architectural drawings, technical specifications, and tender documents.
• Experience coordinating with suppliers, subcontractors, procurement, and project teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and AutoCAD; knowledge of estimation software or ERP systems is an advantage.
• Strong numerical, analytical, organizational, and commercial negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tenders and meet strict submission deadlines.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Candidates with UAE experience in commercial, hospitality, residential, or office fit-out projects will be preferred. Experience in joinery, ceilings, partitions, flooring, and architectural finishing works will be an added advantage.
