Estimator / Quantity Surveyor

About the role

Join Allalign Construction Engineering Company Limited as an Estimator / Quantity Surveyor and take ownership of both tender pricing and project cost control across the full project lifecycle.

You will be responsible for delivering accurate estimates, managing commercial aspects during project execution, and driving cost efficiency from tender stage to final account. This role offers hands-on exposure and the opportunity to work closely with project teams and subcontractors to ensure successful project delivery.

What you'll be doing

Working closely with subordinates under the guidance of the QS Manager / Project QS, you will:

• Prepare cost estimates, tender submissions, and pricing analysis
• Handle tender documents and tender evaluation
• Perform material take-off and cost planning
• Carry out measurement of works, valuation of variations, and final account preparation
• Prepare and administer subcontract documents
• Monitor and control project costs in line with approved budgets
• Handle variation orders (VO), claims, and interim payment applications
• Assess financial impact of variations and project changes
• Prepare extension of time (EOT) claims where required
• Attend site inspections, meetings, and tender interviews
• Coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, and clients
• Be stationed on-site when necessary

What we're looking for

• Degree / Higher Diploma / Associate Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related disciplines
• Minimum 3–5 years relevant experience in contractor companies
• Experience in both estimating and quantity surveying duties is an advantage
• Strong cost awareness and good commercial sense
• Solid experience in subletting and/or tendering works
• Good subcontractor connections or an established subcontractor network is highly preferred
• Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently
• Proficient in spoken and written English and Chinese

Candidates with less or more experience may be considered for suitable positions, depending on experience and capability.
