Estimator/Project Manager

Family owned misc. metal fabricator, specializing in custom projects made from steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.

Position Summary

The Estimator/Project Manager is responsible for preparing project estimates, managing awarded projects from start to finish, communicating with customers, and performing field measurements when needed. This position is primarily office-based but includes occasional visits to job sites.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate estimates from drawings and specifications
• Review blueprints and project documents
• Perform field measurements as required
• Communicate with customers throughout the estimating and project lifecycle
• Coordinate projects from award through completion
• Monitor project schedules and progress
• Maintain organized project documentation

Qualifications Required

• Valid driver's license
• Ability to read construction drawings and blueprints
• Strong math and measurement skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational and time management abilities
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic computer applications

Preferred

• Experience in estimating, project management, or the miscellaneous metals or construction industry
• Experience reading architectural and structural drawings
• Knowledge of commercial and residential construction practices
