Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator/Project Manager to join our construction team. This role involves preparing accurate project estimates, managing construction projects from inception to completion, and maintaining effective communication with clients and stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial and residential construction, proficiency with estimating software, and the ability to read blueprints and manage project budgets efficiently. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to high-quality construction projects while utilizing advanced management tools and industry expertise.

Duties

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial and residential construction projects using estimating software such as Procore.
• Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications to accurately assess project requirements.
• Estimate material costs, labor, equipment, and other expenses necessary for project completion.
• Manage and update project budgets throughout the construction process, ensuring financial targets are met.
• Utilize construction management software to track project progress, costs, and schedules.
• Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs, provide updates, and clarify project details.
• Collaborate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure accurate estimation and smooth project execution.
• Develop comprehensive spreadsheets for estimating purposes and project tracking.
• Oversee the bidding process by preparing proposals and submitting competitive estimates.
• Coordinate with project teams to ensure estimates align with project scope, timeline, and budget constraints.

Skills

• Proficiency in estimating software such as Procore or similar construction estimation tools.
• Strong experience in the construction industry with a focus on commercial estimation; residential estimation experience is also valuable.
• Excellent blueprint reading skills to accurately interpret technical drawings.
• Solid understanding of material cost estimating and construction budgeting processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel for creating spreadsheets and managing data.
• Experience with construction management software to oversee project timelines, costs, and documentation.
• Effective client communication skills to facilitate clear understanding of project scope and estimates.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $84,900.00 per year
