Estimator/Project Manager

CNC Metalcraft is looking for an experienced Estimator/Project Manager for our business located in Burnsville, MN. The ideal candidate will have the skills and knowledge listed below.

Estimating/Quoting

• Performs take-offs from architectural drawings.
• Develops pricing based upon costing tools and market knowledge.
• Submits proposals and closes sales.

Product Management

• Optimizes offering based upon market needs and operational capabilities.
• Establishes standard offerings and options.
• Establishes price lists and lead times.

Project Submittals:

• Coordinates timely submission of Submittals, including Shop Drawings, Product Data, Color samples, etc. for approval by architect/owner on projects as assigned.
• Reviews drawings and plans on assigned projects to ensure accuracy and project feasibility.
• Issues and obtains answers to RFI’s from GC or customer.
• Performs edits based upon submittal responses, as necessary.
• Coordinates ordering of long lead time materials prior to receipt of field dimensions, providing material take-offs as necessary.

Lead Generation

• Explores other promotional possibilities for lead generation.
• Develops channels to market for standard offerings.
• Issues and obtains answers to RFI’s from GC or customer.

General

• Familiar with architectural/construction market and/or metal forming processes.
• Relies on experience, creativity and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

Qualifications: (Education/Experience)

• Project Management experience (2+ years) in a manufacturing organization, or
• Estimating experience (2+ years) in a building envelope company.
• Understanding of costing and overhead as it relates to pricing.
• Goal oriented, competitive and resourceful.
• Team oriented and customer focused.
