With a growing team and an expanding presence across New Zealand, this is an exciting opportunity to join an established business and build a rewarding career within the restoration industry.

**The Role:**We are looking for an experienced Supervisor / Estimator to join our Auckland Major Loss team.

This is a key operational role for someone who understands the construction and restoration environment, can confidently assess and quote works, and has the leadership skills to coordinate technicians and keep multiple jobs moving.

You will need to be comfortable managing a high volume of work, often with multiple jobs at different stages at the same time. From responding to emails and completing reports, to attending site visits, preparing quotations and managing escalations, you will be responsible for keeping your jobs organised and progressing.

This role also provides an opportunity to work closely with management and the wider team to develop and implement practical ways of working that improve job flow, communication and the successful completion of restoration projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Attend sites and complete detailed assessments of building and restoration works
  • Prepare accurate scopes of work, estimates, quotations and variations
  • Review job requirements, identify risks and ensure works are accurately captured
  • Plan, schedule and allocate work to technicians based on priorities, skills and job requirements
  • Provide clear direction to technicians and monitor the progress and quality of their work
  • Manage multiple jobs simultaneously and ensure work is progressing within required timeframes and KPIs
  • Maintain regular and professional communication with customers, insurers, loss adjusters, subcontractors and other stakeholders
  • Manage and escalate issues professionally and appropriately when required
  • Build strong working relationships with insurance clients and external stakeholders
  • Complete reports, job notes, photographs and required documentation to a high standard
  • Manage a busy workload of emails, site visits, quotations, reports and job coordination
  • Liaise closely with internal administration, project management and technician teams
  • Ensure jobs are properly planned and handed over to the appropriate team members
  • Identify opportunities to improve job flow, communication and overall service delivery
  • Assist with implementing and maintaining processes that support the smooth and efficient completion of jobs
  • Ensure all works comply with relevant quality, contractual, legislative and health & safety requirements

You will be:

  • A qualified builder / experienced building professional, or have significant restoration industry experience

  • Highly competent with technology and comfortable working across multiple systems, software and digital platforms
  • Confident reading plans, assessing building damage and determining the appropriate scope of works
  • Experienced in supervising, coordinating or directing technicians and trades
  • Highly organised with the ability to prioritise and manage a high volume of jobs simultaneously
  • An excellent communicator who can communicate effectively with technicians, managers, customers, insurers and other external stakeholders
  • Professional, confident and composed when dealing with insurance representatives, clients and escalated matters
  • Strong in written communication, with the ability to produce clear, accurate reports and professional correspondence
  • A practical problem-solver who can make sound decisions and keep jobs moving
  • Comfortable working under pressure and managing competing deadlines
  • Someone who takes ownership and follows jobs through from initial assessment to completion
  • Proactive and willing to contribute to improving the way we manage and deliver our work
  • A strong team leader who can provide direction, support and accountability to technicians
  • Committed to maintaining a high standard of customer service, workmanship and professionalism
