Ethnic Minority District Ambassador (EMDA) (Post code: DECC -EMDA _JB)

Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing and conducting group activities and programs, publicity and promotional work, training and various activities, including but not limited to those for ethnic minorities
• Assist in providing simple interpretation and translation service to ethnic minorities
• Assist in performing networking duties including conducting visits and providing escort services for ethnic minorities
• Assist in the production of promotion materials in ethnic minorities languages
• Assist in manning the service counters and receive calls
• Assist in establishing contact and maintaining liaison with members of ethnic minority communities to gauge their service needs

Requirements:

• Secondary 6 or above
• Be able to communicate effectively in Chinese or English, both in written and spoken forms
• Be proficient in Nepali, Urdu, Punjabi or Hindi, in written and spoken forms
• Preference will be given to those with relevant working experience in social welfare organizations and knowledge

Working location: Kwai Chung

Working hours: 44 per week (Shift duty is needed)
