ETL / Data Tester

We are looking for an experienced Data Tester / ETL Tester with strong expertise in validating data pipelines, data transformations, data quality, and data warehouse processes.

The candidate will be responsible for performing end-to-end testing of data across source systems, ETL/ELT pipelines, data warehouses, and reporting layers.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform data validation and data quality testing across source and target systems.
• Validate ETL/ELT pipelines and ensure accurate data movement and transformation.
• Write complex SQL queries for data reconciliation and validation.
• Perform source-to-target data validation and identify data discrepancies.
• Validate data transformation rules, mappings, calculations, and business logic.
• Perform data completeness, accuracy, consistency, uniqueness, and integrity testing.
• Test data pipelines across different stages of the data warehouse.
• Perform database testing and validate stored procedures, views, tables, and queries.
• Analyze defects, identify root causes, and work with Data Engineers/Developers for resolution.
• Create and execute test scenarios, test cases, and test scripts.
• Perform regression, integration, system, and end-to-end testing of data solutions.
• Validate data migration and data reconciliation activities.
• Prepare test reports and maintain defect documentation.

Mandatory Skills

• Strong experience in Data Testing / ETL Testing
• Strong SQL skills
• Experience with Data Warehousing
• Experience in ETL/ELT testing and data validation
• Hands-on experience with source-to-target validation
• Strong understanding of data quality and data reconciliation
• Experience working with databases such as Snowflake / SQL Server / Oracle / Teradata
• Good understanding of Fact and Dimension tables
• Experience with defect management and test case preparation

Good to Have

• Experience with Snowflake
• Experience with dbt testing
• Knowledge of Python
• Experience with Databricks
• Experience with AWS/Azure/GCP
• Exposure to tools such as Informatica, Talend, Azure Data Factory, Airflow
