ETL Testing Professional

Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute comprehensive ETL and data validation test strategies.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Python.
• Validate data accuracy, completeness, consistency, and integrity across ETL pipelines.
• Write and execute complex SQL queries for database and data validation testing.
• Identify, analyze, document, and troubleshoot data quality issues and defects.
• Create detailed test scenarios, test plans, and test cases for complex data workflows.
• Execute functional, integration, regression, and data validation testing.
• Track and manage defects using JIRA and collaborate with development teams for resolution.
• Use Git for source code management and collaborative development workflows.
• Perform basic Unix/Linux command-line operations and execute scripts as required.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business and technical requirements.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes and automation frameworks.

Required Technical Skills

• Python Strong proficiency in Python for test automation and data validation.
• ETL Testing Strong understanding of ETL processes, data pipelines, and ETL testing methodologies.
• SQL Server / SQL Ability to write complex SQL queries and perform database testing and data validation.
• Git - Experience with version control and collaborative development workflows.
• Unix/Linux - Basic knowledge of command-line operations, system navigation, and script execution.

Testing Process Skills

• Strong experience in Test Case Design and Test Execution.
• Ability to develop comprehensive test scenarios, test plans, and test cases.
• Experience with Data Validation and Data Quality Testing.
• Knowledge of Functional, Integration, Regression, and ETL Testing.
• Good understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with JIRA for defect tracking, project management, and sprint coordination.
