ETP/WTP Operator

Role & responsibilities

ETP Operator (Effluent Treatment Plant):

• Operate and monitor ETP equipment and treatment processes.
• Monitor pH, flow, chemical dosing, and water quality parameters.
• Handle chemical dosing systems and ensure proper chemical levels.
• Operate pumps, agitators, filters, aeration systems, and other equipment.
• Maintain ETP operating parameters and daily log sheets.
• Monitor sludge generation and carry out sludge handling/dewatering.
• Identify equipment/process abnormalities and report them to the Shift In-charge.
• Ensure proper housekeeping and safety practices in the ETP area.
• Conduct routine inspection and basic troubleshooting of equipment.
• Follow environmental, safety, and company procedures.

WTP Operator (Water Treatment Plant):

• Operate and monitor WTP equipment and water treatment processes.
• Monitor raw water, treated water, and process parameters.
• Operate RO, DM/softener, filters, dosing systems, pumps, etc., as applicable.
• Perform chemical dosing and maintain required chemical levels.
• Monitor water quality parameters such as pH, TDS, conductivity, and hardness.
• Carry out filter backwashing and regeneration activities as required.
• Maintain daily plant operating records and log sheets.
• Conduct routine equipment checks and report abnormalities.
• Ensure proper housekeeping, safety, and PPE compliance.
• Support preventive maintenance and basic troubleshooting activities.
