EV Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Project Engineer to lead the scheduling, planning, forecasting, resourcing, and coordination of technical activities across our projects. The Project Engineer will work closely with the Project Manager to ensure project accuracy and quality, overseeing the engineering and technical disciplines of ongoing projects and establishing inspection criteria for proper project implementation.

Key responsibilities

• Preparing, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring assigned engineering projects in collaboration with the Project Manager
• Formulating project parameters and assigning responsibilities across the project team
• Interacting with clients to interpret their needs and requirements, and representing the team in the field
• Performing quality control on budgets, schedules, plans, and personnel performance, and reporting on project status
• Coordinating and communicating with the Project Manager, Assistant Engineers, contractors, and other project participants to ensure efficient project methods and profitability
• Reviewing engineering tasks and initiating corrective action where necessary
• Ensuring the project's compliance with applicable codes, practices, policies, performance standards, and specifications
• Managing the project from start to end, including milestone claim documentation

Requirements

• Degree/Diploma in Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field
• 3–5 years of relevant working experience in engineering project execution
• Proven experience delivering solar or renewable energy projects preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD (PVSyst experience a plus)
• Able to manage multiple discipline projects
• Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with demonstrated project management capabilities
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Sound knowledge of applicable codes, policies, standards, and best practices
