About the role

We are seeking an experienced EV Charger Electrical Engineer to join our team at GAC Inpow Technology (Thailand) Co., Ltd. in Bangkok. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in the development, testing, and integration of electric vehicle charging solutions. You will be responsible for designing, programming, and testing EV charger systems, ensuring seamless connectivity with charging platforms and delivering reliable, high-quality charging infrastructure. This role is essential to our mission of advancing sustainable energy solutions and supporting the growing EV ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical systems for EV chargers, including power electronics and control circuits
• Program and configure EV charger firmware and embedded systems to ensure optimal performance
• Establish and maintain connectivity between EV chargers and charging platform management systems
• Conduct comprehensive testing of charger hardware and software, including functional, safety and performance testing
• Troubleshoot electrical faults and develop solutions to resolve technical issues
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including schematics, test protocols and user manuals
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware design, software development and quality assurance
• Ensure compliance with international standards and safety regulations for EV charging systems
• Support product improvements and optimisation based on testing results and customer feedback

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering or a related discipline
• Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience in electrical engineering, with specific experience in power electronics or charging systems highly desirable
• Strong knowledge of EV charging standards and protocols, including AC/DC charging architectures
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++, Python or similar for embedded systems
• Experience with microcontroller programming and development tools (Arduino, STM32, PLC systems)
• Solid understanding of electrical safety standards, IEC standards and relevant certification requirements
• Experience with circuit design, CAD software and simulation tools
• Knowledge of communication protocols (CAN, Modbus, TCP/IP) for IoT and platform connectivity
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities
• Familiarity with testing equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters and power analysers
• Preferred: Experience with cloud-based platform integration and IoT systems
