About Northview Golf & Country Club:

Established in 1994, Northview Golf and Country Club is a 36-hole public championship golf facility located in Surrey, BC. Spanning 400 beautifully manicured acres, Northview boasts two premier Arnold Palmer designed courses, Ridge and Canal, accompanied by a large practice facility featuring 3 putting greens and a natural grass tee deck.

Northview proudly hosted the PGA Tours Greater Vancouver Open (1996-1998) and the Air Canada Championship (1999-2002) and continues to host many prestigious charity tournaments and unforgettable year-round play.

Position Summary:

Reporting directly to the Golf Course Superintendent, the Evening/Night Security is a blend of greeting and customer service during the evening and lock-up and patrolling during the night. The position requires frequent interactions with guests, note taking and communication with Supervisors and Managers.

Key Responsibilities:

· Conduct Patrols: Perform regular foot or vehicle patrols of assigned areas (buildings, grounds, parking lots) to deter and detect signs of intrusion, vandalism, fire or other safety hazards.

· Control Access: Monitor and authorize the entrance and departure of employees, visitors and vehicles. This includes opening the front entrance gates before the arrival of the first Grounds Department employee for the day shift and closing the front entrance gates after the departure o the last employee from the Kitchen Department’s evening shift.

· Respond to Incidents and Emergencies: Promptly respond to alarms, disturbances, medical emergencies, fires or other incidents, taking necessary action to resolve the situation and coordinating with first responders (police, fire, ambulance) when necessary.

· Write Reports: Prepare detailed and accurate incident reports and daily activity logs, documenting all security related events, observations and actions taken during the shift.

· Enforce Rules and Regulations: Ensure compliance with Northview’s security policies, safety protocols and general regulations to maintain order and a secure environment.

· Provide Customer Service: Assist employees and visitors with inquiries, directions and support in a professional and calm demeanor.

· Safety: Complete the required periodic check-ins through the “Aware 360” application to ensure personal safety.

Qualifications & Skills:

· A high school diploma or equivalent.

· Posses a valid driver’s licence.

· Ability to work night shifts, weekends and holidays.

· Strong observational, communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.

· Physical fitness to stand or walk for extended periods and potentially climb stairs or move quickly in an emergency.

· Ability to handle emergency and high-pressure situations calmly and effectively.

· Knowledge of the game of golf would be an asset.

Remuneration:

· Wage: Hourly wage of $19.95

· Schedule: Thursday to Sunday, full time (40 hrs/week), year-round employment.
