Evening counselor

Role Description The Evening Counselor will provide direct client care during evening hours in an on-site setting located in Blackwood, NJ. This part-time role includes conducting individual counseling sessions, performing intake assessments, and developing treatment plans focused on anxiety, depression, and related issues. The counselor will maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, coordinate care with other providers as needed, and follow practice policies and ethical standards. Daily responsibilities also involve monitoring client progress, providing crisis support within scope, and participating in case consultation or supervision as appropriate.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated skills in individual counseling, intake assessment, and treatment planning for anxiety and depression.
• Ability to maintain clear, timely clinical documentation and manage an evening caseload in an outpatient setting.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and active listening skills to build rapport with diverse clients.
• Commitment to ethical practice, confidentiality, and adherence to professional standards and regulations.
• Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field; active or eligible licensure in NJ (e.g., LAC, LPC, LSW, LCSW) preferred.
• Experience in outpatient mental health or telehealth services is beneficial.
• Comfort working on-site in Blackwood, NJ during evening hours and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and use basic electronic health record or documentation systems.
