Event Installation Assistant

Independent Contractor (1099) | $15–$20/hour | Flexible, Event-Based Schedule

The Pink Peony Co. is seeking 1–2 dependable individuals to support our team with luxury faux floral and event installations throughout Pennsylvania and surrounding areas.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, collaborating with a creative team, and transforming spaces for weddings and special events.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload floral arrangements, décor, furniture, candles, and equipment
• Install and style florals, draping, backdrops, signage, and other décor
• Follow detailed design and setup plans
• Assist with ceremony-to-reception transitions
• Break down events and organize inventory
• Occasionally assist with event preparation and packing

Previous experience in events, hospitality, retail, warehousing, construction, moving, or similar hands-on work is helpful, but not required. Training will be provided.

Schedule and Location

This is a flexible, on-call position based near Allentown, PA (Lower Macungie). Most work takes place on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays during September and October, with occasional weekday preparation or installation hours.

Events may take place throughout the Lehigh Valley, Philadelphia, South Central and Southeastern Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, and surrounding areas. Additional opportunities may be available during the 2027 wedding season.

Experience driving cargo vans or box trucks, or a willingness to learn, is a plus.

Physical Requirements

Applicants must be comfortable:

• Lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds
• Standing, walking, bending, and climbing stairs for extended periods
• Loading and unloading event inventory
• Working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
