What they need

ABOUT S3K

S3K is an event build and logistics management company supporting clients across the UK, and occasionally internationally, with their event builds, logistics and planning.

Our teams work across a wide range of events and venues, helping to build, prepare and deliver events safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

We are looking to build our pool of reliable Event Build Labourers and are currently recruiting for both full-time and part-time flexible self-employed positions.

THE ROLE

As an Event Build Labourer, you’ll be part of our event crew, supporting the team with the physical preparation, build and breakdown of events.

This is a hands-on role and can involve working in a variety of environments and venues. No two event builds are necessarily the same, so we’re looking for people who are adaptable, hardworking and willing to get stuck in.

Your responsibilities may include:

· Assisting with the build and breakdown of events

· Loading and unloading equipment and event materials

· Moving equipment and materials around event sites

· Assisting skilled crew members and supervisors

· Setting up event infrastructure and equipment as directed

· Helping to maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment

· Following instructions from supervisors and site management

· Working effectively as part of a team

· Completing tasks safely, efficiently and to the required standard

· Supporting with general event site duties as required

ABOUT YOU

We’re looking for people who are reliable, hardworking and have a positive attitude.

Previous event, construction, warehouse, logistics or labouring experience is useful but not essential. What’s most important is that you’re willing to work hard, listen to instructions and be part of a team.

You’ll need to be:

· Reliable and punctual

· Physically fit and comfortable with manual work

· Happy working on your feet for extended periods

· Comfortable working indoors and outdoors

· Able to work effectively as part of a team

· Willing to follow instructions and learn new skills

· Adaptable and able to work in a fast-paced environment

· Professional and respectful when working at client venues

· Safety-conscious

· Available for flexible working patterns where required

FLEXIBLE WORKING

We offer both full-time and part-time flexible self-employed opportunities, making this role suitable for people looking for regular work as well as those who want to work around other commitments.

Event work can include early starts, late finishes and varying shift patterns depending on the requirements of each build, so flexibility is important.

PAY & PROGRESSION

The starting rate is £10.00 per hour.

Following a successful three-month probationary period, your rate can be reviewed and negotiated based on your performance, reliability, experience and responsibilities.

We’re also keen to invest in people who want to develop their skills.

There are opportunities for:

· Career progression within S3K

· Increased responsibility and advancement within the crew

· Development into supervisory and management roles

· Plant operator training

· Opportunities to develop additional event build and site skills

· Increased rates as your skills, experience and responsibilities develop

We want to build a team of people who can grow with the business, not simply provide casual labour.

WHY WORK WITH S3K?

· Full-time and part-time flexible opportunities

· Self-employed working arrangement

· £10.00 per hour starting rate

· Rate review after a successful three-month probationary period

· Opportunities for career progression

· Plant operator training opportunities

· Varied work across the event industry

· The opportunity to develop practical and transferable skills

· A fast-paced working environment

· The opportunity to become part of a growing event build and logistics company

INTERESTED?

If you’re reliable, hardworking and ready to get stuck in, we’d love to hear from you.

Whether you’re looking for regular full-time work, flexible part-time work or an opportunity to develop a career within the event build industry, S3K can offer opportunities to develop your skills and progress.

Apply now with your CV and a brief introduction about yourself and your availability.
