What they need
SCLA is seeking five (5) experienced Event Coordinators to lead the operational delivery of a high-profile international AI summit taking place at the United Nations in Geneva. The summit brings together global leaders, policymakers, technologists, and researchers to shape the future of artificial intelligence governance and international cooperation.
This is a pivotal opportunity for confident, detail-oriented professionals who thrive in fast-paced, high-stakes international environments and are ready to take ownership of summit execution from end to end.
What You'll Do
- Lead the planning, coordination, and on-site execution of summit programming, including plenaries, panels, side events, and high-level receptions
- Manage relationships with UN protocol offices, partner organizations, sponsors, and external vendors
- Oversee assigned workstreams and serve as operational points of contact during summit week
- Coordinate speaker management, including invitations, briefings, travel logistics, and on-site care
- Develop and maintain detailed run-of-show documents, timelines, and contingency plans
- Liaise with venue staff at UN Geneva premises on logistics, security, accreditation, and AV
- Manage budgets, vendor contracts, and procurement in coordination with the organizing team
- Ensure all programming meets UN protocol standards and international event best practices
What We're Looking For
- 2–5 years of professional event coordination experience, preferably in international, diplomatic, or high-profile corporate settings
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder events end-to-end
- Excellent written and spoken English; working French strongly preferred
- Strong leadership, project management, and stakeholder communication skills
- Composure and judgment under pressure; ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion
- Familiarity with Geneva's international ecosystem (UN agencies, missions, NGOs, think tanks) is a significant advantage
- Prior experience with AI, technology policy, or multilateral affairs is a plus, though not required
- Bachelor's degree minimum; advanced degree welcome
What We Offer
- A leadership role in a flagship AI summit at the United Nations Geneva
- Direct engagement with senior international stakeholders across diplomacy, policy, and technology
- Competitive compensation commensurate with experience
- A strong professional reference and access to Geneva's international and tech-policy networks
- The opportunity to shape a summit at one of the world's most prestigious venues
