Event Crew

About the Role:

We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Crew Members to join our team for the upcoming holiday season at the Seattle Christmas Market this November, December and January. In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of outdoor tasks, with a focus on creating and maintaining beautiful and welcoming spaces for market visitors.

You will work collaboratively with your team to ensure all projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. This is a seasonal, temporary position ideal for individuals with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a passion for working outdoors in a festive environment.

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain various landscape and decorative features, ensuring quality and durability.
• Operate power tools and hand tools safely and effectively for assigned tasks.
• Perform regular outdoor maintenance, including setup, cleaning, and tidying of market areas.
• Assist with the installation and arrangement of holiday décor, plants, and other seasonal elements.
• Support irrigation and plant care to promote healthy and visually appealing displays.
• Collaborate with team members to complete tasks on time while maintaining safety standards.
• Provide support for special projects and setup related to market events.

Requirements:

• Ability to lift and move materials (up to 50 lbs)
• Previous experience in event setup, construction, or general labor is an asset but not required.
• Proficient in using power tools and hand tools relevant to landscaping and outdoor maintenance.
• Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot basic equipment issues.
• Experience in landscape or outdoor maintenance practices.
• Ability to work in varying weather conditions and maintain performance in a fast-paced environment.
• A keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality work standards.
• Excellent teamwork skills and effective communication with colleagues.

Schedule:

• Project dates: mid-November, December and beginning of January (exact dates for set-up and strike TBC)
• Shifts and hours may vary depending on event needs.

Rate:

$24.50USD/Hour
