Event Crew Member

SkillzPlus Entertainment is looking for an outgoing, dependable and customer-focused individual to join our event crew.

We provide professional DJ entertainment, photo booth, 360 video booth and wedding services for weddings, corporate events, private celebrations and other special events throughout the Shreveport-Bossier area and beyond.

This is not a traditional position with guaranteed weekly hours. Work is based on our event schedule, with most opportunities occurring during evenings and weekends. This position is ideal for someone who wants flexible supplemental work, enjoys being around people and takes pride in helping create an excellent guest experience.

We are looking for more than someone who can move equipment. Every member of the SkillzPlus team represents our company in front of our clients and their guests. Professionalism, attitude and customer service are extremely important.

What You Will Do

• Assist with loading, unloading, setup and breakdown of DJ, photo booth, 360 video booth and other event equipment.
• Help ensure event setups are clean, organized and professionally presented.
• Assist with operating photo booth and 360 video booth experiences after training.
• Greet and interact with clients and guests in a friendly, professional manner.
• Help guests use event experiences and equipment when needed.
• Follow setup instructions, event timelines and direction from the crew lead.
• Learn basic operation, troubleshooting and care of SkillzPlus equipment.
• Help maintain equipment, supplies and event areas throughout an event.
• Work as part of a team to ensure events are executed efficiently and professionally.
• Represent SkillzPlus Entertainment and our standards of People, Experience and Innovation.

• Is comfortable learning basic event technology and equipment.

• Has reliable transportation to report for scheduled events and assignments.

• Is available for evening and weekend work, including some late nights.

• Understands that weekly hours will vary based on booked events.

• Can perform the physical requirements of event setup and breakdown, including standing for extended periods and safely moving event equipment, with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Experience

Previous event, hospitality, customer service, entertainment, production or technical experience is helpful, but it is not required.

We are willing to train the right person.

Attitude, reliability, professionalism, customer service and the ability to learn quickly are more important to us than having previous DJ or event-production experience.

• Pay and Growth

Pay ranges from $15.00 to $20.00 per hour, based on experience, training, demonstrated skills and level of responsibility.

Team members who become proficient with our equipment, demonstrate exceptional reliability and customer service, and are able to take on greater event responsibilities may qualify for higher compensation within the range.

• Schedule

This is an event-based, on-call position.

There are no guaranteed weekly hours. Work opportunities are based on SkillzPlus Entertainment's event schedule and business needs.

Most events occur on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, although weekday assignments may occasionally be available.

Advance notice will be provided whenever possible.
