Job Description

We are seeking an experienced event DJ for the BLOOD MOON Halloween Party in Los Angeles.

The DJ will play music throughout the event, introduce live performers, prepare and cue their backing tracks, and provide smooth transitions between approximately six live sets.

This is an event-support role—not an individual DJ showcase or an opportunity to promote original music. The selected DJ must follow the musical direction provided by the event organizers.

Responsibilities

• Play recognizable Halloween hits and dance-party favorites.
• Maintain a fun, energetic atmosphere throughout the event.
• Introduce live performers on the main stage.
• Receive and organize performers’ backing tracks before the event.
• Prepare and cue backing tracks during approximately six live sets.
• Create smooth transitions between performances.
• Coordinate with the event organizers and venue sound engineer.
• Bring, set up, operate, and remove a complete DJ setup.
• Remain available at the DJ station throughout the event.

Schedule

• Arrival and load-in: 6:00 PM
• Setup and sound check: 6:00–7:00 PM
• Event and DJ performance: 8:00 PM–Midnight

The DJ must be completely set up and sound-checked by 7:00 PM.

Equipment Requirements

The venue provides a PA system but does not provide a DJ controller, mixer, booth, table, or complete DJ setup.

The DJ must provide:

• A DJ controller or mixer
• A laptop with the required DJ software
• A DJ booth, table, or appropriate stand
• All necessary cables, adapters, chargers, and accessories

DJ lighting or laser lights are a plus but are not required.

This is not a laptop- or USB-only position. Applicants must have a complete DJ setup and be able to transport, set up, operate, and remove their equipment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience DJing parties or live entertainment events
• Comfortable speaking on a microphone and introducing performers
• Able to prepare, organize, and cue performers’ backing tracks
• Reliable, punctual, organized, and professional
• Able to follow the event organizers’ musical direction
• Available for the complete schedule

Pay: $100.00 per day
