Event Engagement Coordinator

Job Overview

New Wave is seeking an organized and people-focused Event Engagement Coordinator to support the planning and execution of community-based outreach events throughout the Tampa Bay & St. Petersburg area.

This role is responsible for assisting with event coordination, onsite operations, and attendee engagement at retail locations, community spaces, and partner venues. The ideal candidate is dependable, communicative, and comfortable working in fast-paced, in-person environments.

This is a full-time, in-person, W-2 position with paid training and consistent weekly pay. This role is not remote, not door-to-door, and not commission-only.

Responsibilities

• Support coordination and execution of scheduled outreach events
• Represent partner organizations in a professional and engaging manner
• Assist with onsite logistics including setup and breakdown
• Engage with attendees to provide program information and answer questions
• Maintain accurate tracking of participation and engagement
• Communicate event updates with internal team members
• Travel locally to assigned event sites throughout Tampa Bay
• Follow established procedures to ensure events operate smoothly

Qualifications

• Strong verbal communication skills
• Organized and detail-oriented
• Comfortable working in public, face-to-face environments
• Ability to manage time effectively during scheduled events
• Team-oriented mindset
• Background in customer service, hospitality, retail, or events is helpful but not required

Training is provided.

Schedule

• Full-time (35–40 hours per week)
• 8-hour shifts
• Some weekend availability required based on event schedule
• Local travel only (no overnight travel required)

Compensation & Benefits

• W-2 employment
• Salary range: $48,000–$58,000 annually

Work Authorization & Location Requirements
