Event Manager

W sportsmedia is an international sport business firm founded in 2014 in Stockholm, Sweden, with HQ in Höganäs and personnel in Norway, France, Finland and Brazil. The firm operates across the sport business value chain with media productions, media rights distribution, sport partnerships and management of international sport events.

W sportsmedia operates Ski Classics, consisting of over 100 Pro Tour and Challenger events worldwide.

W sportsmedia – Event Manager

As Event Manager, you will be part of the international events department at W sportsmedia, based at our HQ in Höganäs, Sweden. Working closely with the Ski Classics team, you are in contact with event organisers, Pro Teams and athletes, and you make sure every event – and the season as a whole – is well prepared. During the winter season, you will also travel to selected Ski Classics World Championship destinations. Areas of responsibility

·     Planning and coordination of the Ski Classics World Championship and Challenger events, from preparation to evaluation

·     Relations and communication with event organisers, Pro Teams, athletes and participants

·     Event administration and logistics, including the registration system, bookings, contracts and budget follow-up

·     Keeping event information up to date in digital channels and systems

·     On-site presence at selected events during the season

Experience

·     Education or work experience within events, sports, business administration or similar

·     Fluent English in speech and writing; other languages are meritorious

·     Confident user of digital tools and social media

·     Knowledge of Ski Classics and winter sports is advantageous

·     Structured, detail-oriented and a skilled planner with a strong service mindset

·     Natural relationship-builder who enjoys an international environment

·     Willing to travel and work intensively during peak season
