Event Manager

About the role

• 1 year contract

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate the delivery of international events, working from established plans, operational guidelines and preparation materials
• Manage vendors and service providers, monitor progress and ensure agreed deliverables are completed within the required timelines and scope
• Oversee invitations, attendance tracking, participant communications and logistical arrangements for overseas attendees
• Manage on-site event operations, address emerging issues and coordinate timely solutions with relevant stakeholders
• Consolidate event outcomes, prepare follow-up documentation and track actions that support ongoing programmes
• Support initiatives involving public health, safety and environmental matters, working with stakeholders across related areas
• Prepare communication materials and assist with workshops, training activities and participation in overseas meetings and forums
• Provide administrative and secretariat support, including meeting arrangements, minutes, records and follow-up coordination
• Assist with background research, briefing materials and monitoring relevant developments when required and as workload permits

About you

• Experience in event operations or project coordination, preferably involving international stakeholders or public sector projects
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate vendors, manage logistics and support events from preparation through completion
• Experience working with regional or international institutions would be advantageous
• Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to work independently, respond effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities
• Exposure to public health, food safety, environmental health or related fields would be an advantage but is not essential
