What they need
Get into events, and get paid to make them cleaner
We are looking for an Event Operations Coordinator to help deliver events nationwide. Reporting to the National Manager, you will own and run your own events on site and work alongside the Event Operations Manager on the larger ones. Expect to split your time between planning at a desk and delivery in hi-vis.
THE ROLE
- Owning delivery of your own events, from planning through to on-site management and pack-out
- Running the site on event day: bin placement, signage, crew briefings, and keeping the operation moving
- Pre-event planning and admin: equipment lists, consumables orders, crew rosters, travel and accommodation bookings
- Booking staffing agencies, waste contractors and suppliers, then following up to confirm everything lands
- Recording waste data and building post-event reports
- Keeping site paperwork, inductions and health and safety records in order
- Working alongside the Event Operations Manager on larger and more complex events
ABOUT YOU
- Organised, proactive, and happy chasing details until they are confirmed
- Able to take charge of a site and make the call without checking in first
- Comfortable giving direction to a crew, including people older and more experienced than you
- Calm when the plan changes at 6 am on event day
- Comfortable with digital tools for reporting, rostering and compliance tracking (e.g. Clean Vibes App, Monday.com, Google Workspace), and quick to pick up new systems
- Physically fit and happy to work outdoors in all weather
- Available for weekends, public holidays and nights through the season, and to stay away from home when events require it
Event, hospitality or project coordination experience is useful, and attitude matters just as much. You will get your own events early with support behind you, so we are looking for someone ready to step up rather than wait to be told.
Essential requirements
You will not be considered without all three:
- A current full New Zealand driver licence
- Your own vehicle
- The legal right to work in New Zealand
HOW THE JOB WORKS
The role is based in Auckland, with travel throughout New Zealand across the season.
Our event season runs November through to June. It peaks and troughs across that window rather than running flat, so expect stretches of back-to-back events and quieter periods between them.
ABOUT US
Clean Vibes delivers sustainable waste management, recycling and event cleaning across Australia and New Zealand. In New Zealand we service some of the biggest music festivals, motorsport, agricultural shows, sporting events, community days, and venues, working to the same systems and the same standards for quality, environment and safety.
We plan the job, run it on the ground, and report on it afterwards. Creating a cleaner tomorrow is the point of the work, not a line on a website.
