Event Operations Crew

Job Summary

804Live is seeking dependable and motivated Event Operations Crew to support the setup, conversion, and teardown of events throughout CarMax Park. This hands-on role supports the setup of a wide variety of events, including concerts, comedy shows, festivals, private events, conferences, and other live experiences. Event Operations Crew members will work as part of a team to move equipment and furniture, prepare event spaces, complete room conversions within established timelines, and return spaces to their proper condition following events. The ideal candidate is punctual, reliable, flexible, comfortable working on their feet, and willing to help wherever needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute the setup and breakdown of tables, chairs, furniture, barricades, bike racks, stanchions, signage, and other related materials.
• Transport and position equipment, furniture, décor, and materials throughout the venue.
• Assist with the setup and teardown of stages, risers, and other infrastructure.
• Complete room flips and space conversions efficiently and within established timelines.
• Safely load and unload trucks, carts, dollies, and other equipment.
• Prepare concourses, suites, lounges, plazas, fields, and other venue spaces for a variety of events.
• Assist with the placement of signage, décor, sponsor activations, and other event-specific setup needs.
• Support setup, conversion, and teardown for outdoor and field-based events, including WinterWorld, festivals, concerts, and other large-scale events held throughout the venue as needed.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas throughout setup and teardown.
• Collaborate with team members, follow direction, and adapt to changing needs to support the successful execution of events.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in event operations, venue operations, hospitality, warehouse, moving, or a related field is preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions, work effectively as part of a team, and adapt to changing priorities.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to maintaining consistent attendance.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and respond to the operational needs of each event.
• Ability to safely perform the physical requirements of the position, including lifting and carrying items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and varied event schedules, including occasional short-notice shifts as needed.
• Commitment to following established safety procedures and working safely around crowds, equipment, loading areas, and active event setups.
