Event Producer

Event Base is looking for an experienced Event Producer to join our Auckland team.

About the role

This is a client facing / client management and  administrative role. We need someone with practical event production experience who is comfortable coordinating people, suppliers, logistics, timelines and all the moving parts that come with delivering events.

Working alongside our Event Sales and Operations teams, you will take ownership of confirmed event projects from handover through to successful delivery and close-out.

Key responsibilities

• Planning and coordinating event delivery from confirmed project through to pack-down and completion
• Turning project handovers into clear production plans, schedules and actions
• Preparing project quotes and costings, including labour, suppliers, subcontractors and other delivery requirements
• Managing project financials from quoting through to budget management and final reconciliation
• Tracking actual costs against quote and flagging variances early
• Coordinating crew, suppliers, subcontractors, logistics and site requirements
• Working closely with Sales, Operations, Design and Production teams
• Managing timelines, labour requirements and project priorities
• Attending site visits, installations, live events and pack-downs as required
• Being a key point of contact for clients and suppliers throughout delivery

About You

For this role, event production experience is important. We're looking for someone who already understands the pace, pressure and practical realities of delivering event projects.

You'll ideally bring:

·  Proven experience as an Event Producer, Event Account Manager or in a similar hands-on event delivery role

·  Strong planning, organisation and attention to detail

·  Experience coordinating multiple projects, suppliers, crew and deadlines

·  Strong client and supplier communication skills

·  Commercial awareness around labour, budgets and variations

·  The ability to stay calm, think practically and make good decisions when plans change

·  Strong systems capability and confidence working with project management systems

·  A genuine willingness to take ownership, follow through and close the loop and strong attention to detail

About Event Base

We're an Auckland-based event infrastructure business. We design, build and deliver temporary event environments and infrastructure working with New Zealand's leading events, venues and brands.

We're a hands-on team, and we're looking for someone who understands what it takes to take an event from confirmed job through planning, production, build, live event delivery and pack-down.
