Event Production Assistant

We are looking to hire a setup/breakdown team member and an event production designer for weekends primarily Saturdays. A great second income opportunity for someone who already had a full time weekday job. Duties will include, but not be limited to, unloading and loading trucks, setting up weddings and events, unpacking inventory onsite, possible lighting and draping (experience preferred) with a clean driving record. Any experience would be great in the event industry although we are also looking for an entry level position for setup and breakdown assistance where will we will teach the foundation for more experience and hours. Ultimately, looking to evolve to a seasonal full time position.

Fort Lauderdale + South Florida | Part-Time / On-Call

Event Bliss, a boutique luxury wedding and event planning and design company, is looking to add dependable Event Setup & Breakdown Crew Members to our team for upcoming weddings and special events throughout South Florida.

This is an on-call position ideal for someone looking for flexible weekend work in the events industry.

Responsibilities include:

• Loading and unloading event décor and supplies
• Setting tables, candles, signage and décor according to Event Bliss specifications
• Assisting with ceremony and reception setup
• Moving and organizing event inventory
• Packing décor carefully at the end of events
• Assisting with late-night event breakdown and load-out
• Keeping setup and storage areas organized
• Following direction from the Event Bliss planning/design team

We are looking for people who are punctual, dependable, professional and detail-oriented. You must be comfortable working on your feet, lifting and carrying event items, and working evenings and weekends.

Wedding or event experience is helpful but not required. A great attitude, strong work ethic and reliability are more important.

Most events are located throughout Broward, Palm Beach and Miami-Dade counties. Transportation to event locations is required.

Schedule: On-call; primarily Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Some shifts may be setup only, breakdown only, or both. Saturdays are a must for availability. Warehouse days will be added to schedule with shown potential.

Pay: Starting rate $20/hour, depending on experience with incentives to increase based on performance. Flat rate breakdown fee for event strikes. Company shirt provided.
